As told by Professor Blast….
Oh my goodness- the Summer Holidays are nearly over and it’s almost time for the start of another academic year. I’ve been so busy exploring southern climates this summer that I nearly forgot that the new school term is nearly here!
Anyway, The Education Team have been busy prepping the Learning Lab in anticipation for the new term and are eagerly looking forward to welcoming school groups back to the park again.
Are you not sure what our Education team have to offer at the park? Well, here’s a brief guide to help you see what is going on this Autumn term at Paultons Park.
Workshops at Paultons Park
Did you know that we offer a range of workshops across all key Stages?
My unique Learning Lab is one of a kind and your class could have exclusive access to it! A number of interactive workshops are based in the Lab including Science Explorer and Roller-coaster Physics. Both workshops are great accompaniments to any physics-based learning.
This season we launched our new workshop Meet the Mini-Beasts. This term we have some new insects which have been added to our creepy-crawly collection, such as…..
Our impressive Leaf insects !
These insects can be found in warmer climates such as South-East Asia and Australia and are also known as Walking Leafs.
Get up close to our Mini Beasts this term.
All sessions in the Learning Lab are interactive and led by our qualified education team.
Maybe you want to learn AND enjoy the rides at the same time? Then Feel the Force is the workshop for you. This is a half day workshop which explores the forces in motion on some of our rides.
All of the above workshops are fantastic for KS2 children; however, we do have a number of workshops which are great for older students (including University students). We offer a range of workshops including Customer service, Marketing and Business at Paultons which all fit into GCSE, A-level and University learning.
All workshops meet the current national curriculum and can be tweaked and tailored to suit your classes’ needs. The Education team will happily change aspects of workshops for you or will even create bespoke workshops for you.
See the website for more details https://paultonspark.co.uk/education/school-groups/workshops .
Also this term…..
December discovery days
Join the Education team for a jam-packed day of cross-curricular learning at the park. Your visit will not only include entry to the park but you’ll also get to take part in 3 of our popular workshops and explore the parks rides and attractions- this is all for £8.50 including VAT per student. These Discovery days are limited so make sure you book on soon before they all get filled up. Call 023 8081 4442 to book.
With so much learning to do at the park, why not bring your class to us this Autumn term?
Anyway, I must be getting on! Exploring doesn’t happen by itself.
