Did you know?

Our cockatoo is called Bacon and has been at Paultons for over 30 years. The Eleonora cockatoo was discovered to be a sub-species by Dr Otto Finsch at the Artis Zoo in Amsterdam and he named it after the zoo director’s wife. Maria Eleonora Van Der Schroef.

Natural Habitat

From the Aru Islands in Indonesia.

Diet

Nuts, berries, flowers and flower buds, seeds and occasionally insects.
