Assisted by a zookeeper, students will learn all about mammals, birds and reptiles, and compare the contrasting features of vertebrate groups. The workshop takes place at our Wild Lands zone. A colourful workbook is provided for each child, with independent activities to do in the park or back in the classroom.

Mini-Meet Zoo workshops take place on a Wednesday and a Friday only and we can only accept one class per date.

Learning Objectives:

  • Compare a variety of animals and separate them into categories
  • Describe why animals are in different categories
  • Listen to zookeeper’s animal knowledge and ask questions
  • Observe animal behaviour
