What do they eat?

Assisted by a zookeeper, students will learn all about animal diets and classification. The workshop takes place next to our penguin & tortoise habitats. A colourful workbook is provided for each child, with independent activities to do in the park or back in the classroom.

Mini-Meet Zoo workshops take place on a Wednesday and a Friday only and we can only accept one class per date.

Learning Objectives:

  • To compare a variety of animals and separate them into categories based on what they eat
  • Understand the meaning of carnivore, herbivore and omnivore
  • Identify animals that are in each category
  • Observe animal behaviour
