Did you know?

Harvest mice are the only British mammal with a fully prehensile tail, which they use like a fifth limb to grip onto grass stems. They are also famous for building perfectly woven, tennis ball-sized nests suspended above the ground.

Habitat

Found across Europe and parts of Asia, harvest mice live in tall grasslands, reed beds, hedgerows, and cereal crops where they can climb and hide amongst dense vegetation.
