They are names for their air acrobatics during their courtship displays. They have been considered by some to be one of the most beautiful birds in the world.

Natural Habitat

This beautifully coloured bird can be found in eastern and southern Africa where they are tree dwellers in open woodland and savannas.  

Diet

They feed on a varied diet of insects, ants, small lizards, small birds and caterpillars. They perch on trees and bushes before swooping down to the ground to catch their prey.
