Did you know?

Their strong digestive system allows them to digest almost anything, including carcasses infected with disease. By consuming these animals, they stop the spread of disease to other wildlife.

In the wild these vultures can be seen in large flocks of up to several hundred birds.

Natural Habitat

They can be found from southern Canada to the southernmost tip of South America. They have a wide variety of habitats, including open country, subtropical forests, shrublands, deserts and foothills.

Diet

Turkey vultures are expert scavengers and will feast on the majority of carrion that they come across.
