Did you know?

Also known as the Violaceous Turaco and the Violet Plantain Eater. Plantains being a member of the banana family but contain more starch and less sugar than normal bananas that you find in shops.

Natural Habitat

Has an extremely large home range from Senegal through to Nigeria, with an isolated population in Chad and the Central African Republic.

Diet

Primarily feeds on fruits, leaves and some insects.
