Access to the Ride

Main access route:

Access is via the entrance. There are no steps to negotiate.

Queue Assist/Access route for guests in wheelchairs:

The Queue Assist entrance and access for guests in wheelchairs is available adjacent to the exit, and is clearly marked – please wait at the designated point and await the Operator’s instructions. There is level access to the train. Guests with mobility issues may find it challenging to transfer up into the ride seat.

 

Requirements for All Passengers

Cognitive Requirements:

All passengers must be able to perceive that this is a high-speed thrill ride and that, for their own safety, they should hold on at all times whilst using the ride. If there is any doubt as to a passenger’s cognitive ability, then for their own safety they must be accompanied by a responsible adult, or must not use this ride. Please note that this judgement must be the responsibility of the individual passenger, parent or carer, as it is impossible for our Operators to assess an individual’s cognitive abilities.

Restraint type:

Passengers are secured by an over-shoulder lap restraint and safety belt. Passenger restraints must be closed beyond a set minimum position with the safety belt fastened. If this cannot be achieved with any passenger, that passenger will be unable to ride.

Passenger Requirements:

All passengers must be at least 1.0m tall and at least 4 years old to ride. Passengers must be at least 1.2m tall and at least 8 years old to ride without a supervising adult. 1 adult can accompany 1 child who does not meet the requirement to ride alone, seated next to each other.

Passengers must be no taller than 2.10m (6ft 8 ½ inches).

All passengers should be in good general health and free from heart, back, neck or other conditions which may be aggravated by this ride. This ride is not recommended for people with high blood pressure or who have had recent surgery. Pregnant women are advised not to use this ride due to the ride forces and presence of the lap bar. Guests who experience vertigo or Meniere’s disease are advised not to ride. Passengers must be able to bend their legs at their hips and knees. Plaster casts/medical boots are not permitted as they present a risk during evacuation.

Magnetic Fields:

Strong magnetic fields are present on this ride. It is therefore not recommended for any guest fitted with a pacemaker.

 

Additional Information for Guests with Disabilities, Missing Limbs/Amputations or Neurodiversity

We respectfully request our guests with disabilities, amputations or neurodiversity, or those people caring for them, to consider the additional information below in deciding whether this ride will be suitable for themselves or those under their care.

Other Physical Safety Requirements:

All passengers must possess good upper body control and be able to sit upright and hold their head up unaided.

Passengers must be able to withstand sudden changes of direction and onset of G-forces. All passengers must be able to grip the restraint/seat with at least one functioning hand to brace against the ride forces. A single above-elbow or below-elbow amputation is permitted.

Passengers must have both natural legs below the knee at least to the shin/ankle to allow the restraint to be effective. Passengers with an above-knee amputation are not permitted to ride as the restraint may be ineffective. All prosthetic limbs must be removed prior to boarding the ride vehicle due to the risk of ejection.

If Evacuation is Necessary:

In the unlikely event that evacuation is necessary, guests must be able to understand and be able to follow our instructions. Guests may have to walk down the narrow lift hill steps, accompanied by our staff, and be able to hold on to the handrail at all times. The lift height and number of steps are self-evident. Guests should be comfortable with the risk of having to walk down the lift hill. A comfort belt harness will be provided and must be worn throughout. If necessary, prosthetic limbs that have been removed at the ride station can be returned to the passenger for an evacuation. In some cases, evacuation may be performed using a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP). Evacuations can be prolonged events to ensure the safety of everyone involved, and we kindly ask for everyone’s patience and understanding during this process. In some cases, evacuation may take in excess of 2 hours.
