In 2026, the Viking realm of Valgard will rise at Paultons Park. Face the wrath of Drakon, (Paultons’ most thrilling coaster yet and the first ever inverting coaster at the Park) as it intertwines with Raven - another legendary coaster reborn. Swing into battle on the UK’s first epic ‘Vild Swing’ ride, explore a Viking-themed playground, and feast like true warriors in a brand-new Nordic themed dining hall.

Where is Valgard, Realm of the Vikings located in Paultons Park?
The new area at Paultons Park will be opening adjacent to Lost Kingdom.
What does the Drakon thrill coaster ride involve?
Drakon is a custom Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter roller coaster with a vertical lift hill that plunges into a beyond vertical drop, with an inversion coaster track that intertwines at top speeds with a legendary existing coaster at the Park.
Are there any other new rides or attractions in Valgard, Realm of the Vikings?
Yes, as well as Drakon – our legendary Gerstlauer Bobsled will be reborn as Raven. ‘Vild Swing’ a 12m high Art Wild Swing is a first of its kind in the UK. There will also be a Viking themed playground and dining hall.
What age is Valgard, Realm of the Vikings appropriate for?
Parents, older children and teens will love this new line up of rides, but they are not for the feint hearted. So be prepared to be brave. Height and age advice will be available soon.
Will Valgard, Realm of the Vikings be included in the entry ticket?
Yes, the new area and rides will be included in all Paultons Park tickets after they open in 2026.
What other plans are there for Paultons Park in the future?
In March 2025, Paultons Park submitted a planning application to construct a holiday village, which will see the creation of a resort offering by installing 85-95 units of lodge-style accommodation, adjacent to Valgard Realm of the Vikings, with its own Parking and entrance to the Park.
