Education Award Logo

Ever wondered how statistical data is used in a large-scale visitor attraction? This session delves into what it takes to run a theme park and how statistics and data are used across the business. We interpret and compare different statistical diagrams (pie charts, bar charts, scatter graphs and time series graphs), exploring how their data informs decision making at the park.

Learning Objectives:

  • Interpret bar charts, pie charts, scatter graphs and time series graphs
  • Describe relationships and trends in the data
  • Evaluate misleading charts and graphs
  • Understand why data and statistics are valuable tools
  • Think critically about using data to inform decision making at the park
